||First appearance of Spunky and Stanley, a talking horse. Spunky, a boy living on a ranch his parents own, has always wanted a horse. His father buys some horses for the ranch, and when one of them (which turns out to be Stanley) refuses to work he plans to get rid of him. But Spunky and Stanley convince his father that Stanley should remain as Spunky's horse.
